Creative Statement
I decided to study web development and media because it allows me to more freely express myself through my work. I was bored and unmotivated when learning the theories of economics out of a textbook, so I strayed from that path in order to learn something more personal and exciting to me. I believe the systematic learning in place for majors such as Economics and other fields does not allow for flexibility/expression which should be possible no matter what you study. There are key fundamentals required in every discipline, but individuality is the key to innovation and leads to the creation of new things. This is why media and specifically web development always fascinated me because it allows for a visual representation of your style on a massive platform accessed across the globe.
